Nagaland: Tesophenyu Sporting Club organises first open tourney

Tesophenyu, October 28 (MExN): Neighborhood Boys Tseminyu was crowned the champions of the first open Futsal tourney organised by Tesophenyu Sporting Club (TSC) from October 22-23. The Boys beat Phenomenal FC with 4-3 in the finals and walked away with cash prize of Rs 12,000 and certificates while the latter won a sum of Rs 6000 and certificates.

Ntsenlo Semp from Neighbourhood Boys was adjudged player of the tourney while Kenyuhyulo Seb of Phenomenal FC was adjudged as the best goal keeper. According to a press release from TSC, the tourney was organised to bring together football enthusiasts, develop stamina, skills and agility of players and strengthen friendship amongst various clubs during the pandemic at grassroot level. Individual prizes such as player of the tourney and best goalkeeper were sponsored by Genesis Store Tseminyu while various well wishers of club also contributed, it said. 

Altogether 17 teams participated at the tourney. TSC further informed that it is also organising first open tournament for football (men) and volleyball (women) starting from January 11-22 at GHS Tesophenyu Ground.
