Nagaland transport department delegation with MoCA officials.

NEW DELHI, JULY 22 (MExN): A delegation from the Transport Department of the Government of Nagaland, led by Commissioner and Secretary Robert Longchari, held a high-level meeting with officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) in New Delhi on July 21 to deliberate on infrastructure and connectivity issues related to air transport in the state.
The Nagaland team held detailed discussions with Asangba Chuba Ao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, along with officials from MoCA, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Key issues discussed included the development of airstrips and heliports, upgradation of Dimapur Airport, and expansion of helicopter services in the state under the NSOP Plus scheme. Both sides expressed commitment to enhancing air connectivity in Nagaland and facilitating improved access for remote and underserved regions, a press release stated.
The Nagaland delegation comprised Additional Secretary Sentiwapang Aier, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister Hatpha Wangnoa, OSD (Transport) M. Ababe Ezung, and Deputy General Manager of Nagaland State Transport (NST) Thomas Kiutsangmong.
