Nagaland Wushu team leaves for national c’ship

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): Five players from Nagaland will be participating in the 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship which will be held in Pune, Maharashtra from June 26 to July 1. 

They are representing the Nagaland Wushu Association led by Gabriel Khamo and Azhove Resu as the coach and manager. 
The team left Dimapur on Friday evening to compete at the national championship, a press release was issued by Nagaland Wushu Association on Friday. 

The players taking part in different category for sanda events are Rakesh Mahato,  Mankho T Konyak, Kethosilie Kuosa,  Atokivi T Chishi, Keyisuiding Lungalang. 

Coach Gabriel Khamo expressed his hope on the players that they will give their best performance and be proud of their achievement at the national level championship. While appreciated the NWA president and advisor CAWD & Taxes Kudecho Khamo for financial support and encouragement to the players.

In his message, NWA president Kudecho Khamo urged the players to give their best effort for the championship. He advised the players to show their sportsmanship, punctuality and discipline as they represent Nagaland at the national level. Also he advised the players to be mentally, spiritually and intellectual prepare for the competition. He hoped the players will be able to bring laurel for the state of Nagaland in the national championship. 

The association said the quarterfinalist in all categories in this National championship will get automatic qualification to National Games 2023 scheduled in last week of October and first week of November 2023 at Goa. 

Wushu Association of India is a member of International Wushu Federation, Wushu Federation Of Asia, South Asian wushu Federation, Recognised by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAAS) Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Affiliated with Indian Olympic Association.
