33rd NAYSA-D Meet 2025 underway

The 33rd meet of Northern Angami Youth & Sports Association (NAYSA) Group-D commenced at Botsa & Tsiemekhuma Basa Ground on January 21. 

The inaugural function was graced by Temjenmenba, Advisor, Transport & Technical Education. He congratulated the organizers and participants of the 33rd NAYSA Sports Meet, emphasising the significance of sports in promoting not just competition but also unity among the 12 villages represented at the event.

Temjenmenba highlighted the importance of peace and unity in Nagaland, urging the youth to act as ambassadors of harmony and excellence.  He shared optimism about the state's future, mentioning that many investors are showing interest in Nagaland, which will open new opportunities and avenues for its people. He further noted that Nagaland possesses abundant untapped resources and expressed hope that the state would soon become an economically stable and reliable region. 

The event kicked off with great enthusiasm and celebration. The sports meet will continue till January 24. The ceremony was led by Kezhangulie Kire, General Secretary of NAYSA-D while Rev Levi Rio, Pastor from Chiechama CRC, invoked blessings at the beginning of the event. The Presidential Address was delivered by Neikeso Zumu while a special song was presented by Neilakuonuo Metha.

The official launch of Tracksuits & Jerseys for the 2025 NAYSA-D Meet was launched by Dziese Zumu, Proprietor of M/S Dziese Zumu. The Oath-Taking was led by Teiso-u Metha, Games & Sports Secretary.

The valedictory function is scheduled for January 24 with Neizolie Rüpreo, Former President of NAYO, as the special guest.

Selected Players for the NASA Meet 2025 will be announced. The New NAYSA-D Team (2025–2027) will be officially declared.
