KOHIMA, May 16 (MExN): Nagaland Minister for Planning and Coordination and CM hopeful, T. R. Zeliang, has congratulated Narendra Modi for leading BJP and their NDA alliance to a “historic victory.”
In his letter to Modi, Zeliang wrote, “I am writing this letter to you to express my great pleasure and joy at the historic victory of Bharatiya Janata Party and NDA alliance under your dynamic and visionary leadership.”
Zeliang offering high praise stated that Modi had, from humble roots, “rose to become the most vibrant Chief Minister of Gujarat.”
Zeliang further wrote that he was “enthralled” by Modi’s campaign statement that while the “West has progressed; the East is still in the grips of backwardness.”
“Your commitment to alleviate this backwardness inspires us all and have reposed in us a great feeling of confident that under your Prime Ministership, the North East, particularly Nagaland will immensely benefit on political, social and economic front. People of Nagaland and for that matter the Nagas as a whole have pinned a new hope in your outstanding caliber and I am sure you will walk extra mile in empowering each and every Nagas,” Zeliang wrote.
