Nagas under bondage of curse

Why don’t we understand the need to make peace? Why are we under the bondage of curse? Facing problems mentally, physically and never getting peace of mind. It affects every organization, groups and the whole society. It affects Nagaland to the worst. Is this not the bondage of curse? Though Nagas seem to be at high level with the theme, the highest name, “Nagaland for Christ”, Nagas are in the bottom line. This was the phrase adopted so long as my memory can recollect (even before I was born) and now, “Nagaland for Christ” has become, “Nagaland for crisis and curse”.

If we remain in this situation and retain current strategies we will never achieve our desired goal. Then who else can process peace? By Catholic pope? Billy Graham? Or by Osama Bin laden? Blacksmith? Even if we have to kill every Naga human species right from child to oldest of Naga, it will nor bring us to any solution to peace. Unless we have our faith firmly rooted and believes in the Omnipotent God.

We have been struggling for no rewards. Why should it be? So, let us forgive and forget all ungodly deeds committed. The good thing we Nagas have with us is that we are united, every tribes, denomination. So, this unity will bring us our independence and also this contributes to making Nagaland colorfully unity.

As it is laid down in the Indian constitution that it is a secular, it goes to say that it has equal respect for all and equal opportunities for all religion. And this brought India its Independence. So also we must be strong in believing and being faithful to our living God. Though we are from different community and background, let us be under one umbrella, believing and keeping our faith in our one Saviour Christ as is stated in our promise, “Nagaland for Christ”. Let us not only promise but also keep it in our inner heart for achieving our goal.

So long as we do not recognize the supremacy of the moral law in our National and international relations, we shall have no enduring peace. How and who can investigate and discover the supremacy of the moral law and who can pioneer for our national and international relations? Everything will be impossible without clear vision.

Therefore, it is my humble request to all people of Nagaland to be strong in believing and be faithful and pray for our Naga leaders. It is a regret that many of our leaders have passed away but it is our hope that we are let with some few who can be a good leaders. We need to pray for our leaders both state and those working for our mother land. They can be a pioneer for us, for our land. Nagas! Never think of applying divide and rule policy. Never try to split our leaders using your own strategies and destructive ideas, they have surpassed all calamities and weathered storms, they are the chosen ones. Just as we prefer constructing a quality wood for main pillar in constructing primitive houses so also is our leaders.

Let us hope that whatever be the case, our leaders will bring about positive changes. As God has chosen our leaders to be our protecting, let us not hinder them in any way as of recent past, regarding the issue on Dr. S.C. Jamir. As we all know, Governor is the representative of the President and head of the Indian state, he cannot be named as anti- national and anti- people it all goes on to say that we are going against state and central Government. As we say we are all equal, the person is question as you and I are. We better not restrict each other into Naga soil. Let us not give each other the title of anti-national and anti- people.

Once again, with great hope and feeling of oneness, responsible Nagas let us put our heads together in bringing about the brighter Nagaland with trust in God. Let us join hands and unite to liberate from the bondage of curse.
