DIMAPUR, APRIL 10 (MExN): Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) held its tournament from April 5 to 8 at Nsong Town local ground where Dr Tumda Newme, President, Zeme Council Nagaland was the special guest and Yimkum I Ozukum , EAC, Nsong was guest of honor.
The tournament was participated by 7 villages under Nsong area where Nine (9) team took part. Nsong Town Youth Organization emerged as the champion and Nzauna Youth Organization were runner up.
The special guest appreciated the organizer for bringing up such platform for the youths in the area. He said that to become professional sportsmen, it is prerequisite to have a self discipline and consistency in one’s own career. He hope that in the next few years with the continuation of the NASA guidance, the youths will strive better, higher, and shine brighter in the district, state, national and even International level.
The guest of honor encouraged the youths to have perseverance, persistency and do away with anti social elements and to maintain fitness as a sportsmen.
Ringtingyibe Disuang was adjudged as best player, Hainimlak was the best keeper and the highest scorer was Ningteube.
The tournament prizes were given away by President and Vice president NASA. Nzokam expressed words of gratitude to all the teams, well wishers, and those who generously contributed towards the success of the tournament.
