National Integration Tour comprising of 20 students and three teachers from Loyola Higher Secondary School was flagged-in on December 22.

Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The National Integration Tour (NIT) comprising of 20 students (15 boys and five girls) and three teachers from Loyola Higher Secondary School, Zakhama, Kohima district was flagged-in on December 22 by Brig Sandeep Kapoor, Commander, Zakhama Military Station, on culmination of the tour.

During the tour, the students witnessed various places of learning and interest that highlighted the significance of accessible educational resources and infrastructure, promoting a culture of continuous learning and discovery, stated a press release received here. 

At Kolkata and Shillong the students, visited Alipore Museum, Alipore Zoo, St Paul Cathedral,  Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Vidhyasagar Setu, Indian Air Force Museum and Cherapunjee,  where they gained an insight into the Rich Indian history and a rich insights into Cultural, Technological, and Artistic Evolution. 

The tour provided the students a platform to interact with Governors of West Bengal and Meghalaya. Students also got an opportunity to interact with Director General, Assam Rifles at Shillong. At Guwahati, the students enjoyed the Brahmaputra cruise.

Addressing the gathering, Brig Sandeep Kapoor, encouraged the students to share their experiences with others students and to learn and create memories of this trip as an inspiration for a lifetime. 

At the end of Flag In Ceremony, all the members of NIT were presented with mementos. 

The NIT was flagged-off from Dimapur on December 13 by GOC, Spear Corps.
