Kohima, October 20 (MExN): The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Service Scheme (NSS) Nagaland has jointly organized cleanliness drive with Japfü Christian College, Kigwema and St.Joseph’s College, Jakhama as part of National Mega Clean India 2.0 on October 19.
The Plogging Walk was flagged off at JCC, Kigwema by Dr Visakhonu Hibo Principal JCC and culminated at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
Flagging off the cleanliness drive, Dr Hibo said that Plogging (Jog & Pick) is the need of the hour as there is an urgent need to Jog for health as well as Pick trash towards a healthy & clean Nagaland, and the country at large.
It may be recalled that the state level launching programme was graced by Er Zale Neikha, Advisor, Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland at Kezoma village in line with National Level launched by Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of India on October 1 last.
