Noklak, March 1 (MExN): National Science Day cum inter school science exhibition was celebrated at the White Hall, Noklak village on February 28 under the theme ‘integrated approach in science and technology for a sustainable future.’
A DIPR report stated that Government High School, Noklak village emerged as the winner of the science exhibition while Christian High School, Noklak secured the second position. In the extempore speech competition, Sangthing S of Christian High School, Noklak and Grace Niamkoi H of St Paul School got first and second positions.
Students from Noklak schools- Government Higher Secondary School, Christian High School, Government High School, Holy Angels School, and St Paul School, participated in both science exhibition and extempore speech competition.
Speaking on the occasion as the special guest, Superintendent of Police Noklak, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS encouraged the students to study hard and have a competitive spirit to achieve goals and be successful in life, stated a DIPR report. The SP shared on big bang theory, evolution theory, and mendel laws of genetics.
SDEO Noklak, W Nzanbemo Humtsoe; SMO Noklak, Dr Victor and Khiamniungan Students Union General Secretary, Pusho P also spoke during the occasion.
Information Assistant, DIPR Noklak KK Chim, Officer in charge of NF& ES, Noklak Thenuosielie Pielie, Finance Secretary, Thang Students Union, Suki B Lam were the judges in both the Science exhibition and Extempore speech.
The event was organized by Thang Students' Union in collaboration with the Police Department, Noklak.
