Native Trax Society along with Musik-A Events is set to host the 16th Music Awards of Nagaland.
Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): The Native Trax Society along with Musik-A Events is set to host the 16th Music Awards of Nagaland (MAN). “With support from TaFMA, we are set to present an even larger and improved edition of the Music Awards of Nagaland (MAN), aimed at establishing Nagaland as a music hub in the country,” the organisers stated in a press release.
Recognising social media as a vital promotional tool, the organisers aim to implement an intensive campaign to generate buzz, foster interest, and attract attendees. Key initiatives include enhancing the PR and social media teams to ensure a consistent and engaging online presence, as well as collaborating with influencers to boost publicity, it informed. “We also aim to increase the prize money to encourage hard work and plan events and tours for the winners across the state and beyond,” they added.
Additionally, contests, giveaways, and virtual showcases will be organised to facilitate engagement between artists and fans, increasing visibility for both the artists and the event.
The 16th MAN 2024 opens for entries on September 30, with submissions closing on October 15. Entries will be reviewed, categorized, and shortlisted by a panel of judges. Nominated videos will be showcased on MAN’s social media platforms starting October 25. Judging will be based on composition, originality, performance, sound engineering, and production.
The awards ceremony, featuring seven main categories and six sub categories, will take place on November 16 at Lorin Hall, Tetso College.
The main categories include Rock, Hip-Hop/R&B, Gospel, Regional/Folk Fusion, Pop, Open Category, and Song of the year. The sub categories are Best Music Video; Best Producer; Best Upcoming Artist/Band; Best Lyricist/Song writer; Best Sound Engineer; and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
