DIMAPUR, MAY 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Executive in its session on May 25 has strongly condemned the recent escalation of factional fighting and assassinations between the various groups who claim to represent the aspiration of the Nagas.
The church not only represents the body of Christ but also Nagas who “genuinely believes in working for our rightful place in the sub-continent and the region, but through consensus and finding the middle ground”, stated Rev. Zhabu Terhüja, General Secretary in a release.
Stating that it has been proven around the world that ‘dialogue’ is the only way-out in arriving at a negotiated settlement, the NBCC appealed all to see senses in the ‘tradition of dialogue’ which, added the release , “had relevance even in the peak of our head hunting days.”
