Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) released the second edition of family diary edited by Rev Khrotso Mero, Executive Secretary, CBCC in the presence of pastors and well wishers.

The purpose of the family diary 2022 edition is to encourage the families to develop family prayer and devotion, stated a press release.

Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC speaking during the event said, “In a time when our faith is threatened and minorities are pushed to the periphery in the society by the majority we can return to our family to do deep soul searching to encourage each other. This soul searching journey must begin at home. Family altar must become a practice to pray and bless each other.”

The Reverend said that the Christians, especially the minorities in India are facing discrimination from the majority. “We take pride in boasting in belonging to the world largest democracy with secular texture. Our diversity was once viewed as our strength. We say ‘unity in diversity’ is our pillar. But, brotherhood in our diversity is disappearing like a melt ice by the day.”

N Suhuto Chishi, Youth Secretary, NBCC chaired the programme.
