NBCK youth Kma celebrates Foundation Day

Kohima | March 8 : The Youth Department of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima celebrated its 33rd Youth Foundation Day with Former Youth Director Moon Thabah as the main speaker within the Church yesterday. Delivering the sermon, Moon called upon the youth to follow God’s first commandment rigorously about ‘Obeying one’s parents’ and about the new commandment of loving one another in the true Christian spirit.
The service chaired by Chairperson of Women Fellowship, Geeta Karki commenced with Elder Gagan Thapa pronouncing the invocation. Vice Chairman Town Fellowship Raju Siwa and Sunday School Superintendent Urmila Rasaily read the scripture portion. Former secretary NBCK Md. Israel exhorted the youth while deacon Tek Bahadur pronounced offertory and pastor of NBCK Rev. Muktinath Sharma said the benediction. Special prayer for the youths and praises through song by Sunday School students and youth marked the celebration.
In the same morning around 38 members of the Youth Department led by chairman Samuel Thabah and Secretary Robi Thapa visited the Kohima District Jail and held service commemorating the day with the inmates. NBC Kohima evangelist Surjay Sapkota delivering the message as the main speaker shared on the topic ‘Jesus will never forsake us’. During the visit, the Youth Department donated some edibles, washing soaps and fruits for the inmates. Meanwhile, the Youth Department has thanked the Kohima District Jail authorities, specially, SP Prisons and pastor of Jail Fellowship for allowing our members to visit and have service with them.
