The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced a series of workshops and training programs in collaboration with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, under the Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) initiative. PARAKH, tasked with ensuring academic equivalence across education boards in India, has completed a research study titled Establishing Equivalence Across Education Boards: Towards Empirically Grounded Guidelines for the Implementation of NEP 2020. Following this, PARAKH has directed all boards to organize workshops to train stakeholders on achieving uniformity in learning and assessment standards throughout the country.

As part of these directives, the NBSE has scheduled several professional development activities aimed at enhancing the skills of educators in the state. These include workshops focused on capacity building for professional paper setters, which will take place from January 13 to 15 at the AIDA Centre, Don Bosco Campus, Dimapur, and from January 16 to 18 at SIEMAT, SCERT, Kohima. These workshops will cater to Mathematics and Science teachers. A separate workshop on competency-based question setting will be held in Dimapur on January 21 and 22, followed by a session in Kohima on January 23 and 24. This will be aimed at teachers of English and Social Sciences. Additionally, a dissemination program for the report on NEP 2020 guidelines will take place on January 21, at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima, specifically for Heads of Registered Institutions.

Furthermore, a training program for the implementation of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) is scheduled for January 22 to 24, at the Mt. Tabor Retreat House in Kohima. This will be for selected teachers from 100 schools. The workshops and training sessions are part of a larger effort to enhance the quality of education and ensure the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

In a notification issued by NBSE Chairperson Asano Sekhose, all Heads of Registered Institutions have been urged to take note of the schedule, cooperate, and ensure the participation of selected teachers to facilitate the successful execution of these programs.
