NBSE informs on Eklavya educational series

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified registered Heads of Institutions that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, New Delhi is launching an Eklavya series. 

Eklavya is an interactive online educational program that contain numerous hands-on activities, projects and models which help in conceptual understanding of various topics; thought provoking questions and assignments which promote out-of-box creative and inspiring DIY (do it yourself) project videos using local materials. The series will help students and teachers by equipping them with scientific temper and key competencies, informed a press release from the NBSE.

Registration for the programme opened on September 5 and episodes are telecast live every Sunday from 4-5pm. The first episode of the series was telecast on September 25. The series is being organised by the CBSE and CCL IIT Gandhinagar.

Participation certificate for all modules is Rs 100 + tax while certificate of competency for the whole course is Rs 100 + tax. 

Heads of Institutions have been directed to take note of the schedule and encourage the teachers and students to register and participate in the aforesaid programme.

Reminds teachers on NISHTA 3.0

The board has meanwhile informed all teachers of registered private schools and private middle schools to join the NISHTHA 3.0 (National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement), teachers training on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), Classes 1-5, through DIKSHA Portal within September 30. 

The Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland has directed all the registered private schools under NBSE to be part of this training programme to meet the requirement of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of teachers.
