Candidates missing HSLC or HSSLC exams due to COVID-19 can reappear
Kohima, March 3 (MExN): In connection to the forthcoming board examinations, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that a candidate of HSLC or HSSLC Examination 2022 who could not appear the examination in a subject or some subject(s) on being tested COVID-19 positive will be allowed to reappear the examination.
The NBSE in a notification stated that students who had to go for COVID-19 testing and missed the examination but are in possession of COVID-19 negative report will also be allowed. A COVID-19 positive candidate on being tested negative again will be allowed to sit for remaining subject(s) which he/she could not appear earlier after producing a COVID-19 Negative report duly certified by the Medical Department, Government of Nagaland. “In such cases, Centre Superintendent will make necessary arrangements to let the candidate sit in a separate room by maintaining SOPs,” it stated.
The examination dates and centre for these candidates will be notified at a later date and no fees shall be realized for this category of students.
It also stated that the candidates will apply officially to the Board stating the subject(s) which he/she intend to appear along with a photocopy of their Admit Card. The application of the student shall be duly forwarded by the respective Centre Superintendent of the Examination Centres of HSLC/HSSLC 2022 via email to nagaboard@gmail.com
For HSLC examination, the application should be submitted within March 29 and for HSSLC examination, the application should be submitted within April 6, it notified.
All Centre Superintendents and Heads of Institutions are to disseminate this information to this category of candidates.
“This is a one-time measure to ensure that the candidates are not deprived of appearing in the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2022,” the board informed.
NBSE also stated that the examination will be conducted strictly adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Government for the conduct of HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2022.
