NBSE to drop Environmental Edu, Home Sc

Kohima, July 8 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education Kohima today said that it will discontinue the Environmental Education and Home Science as a sixth subject in the course of study at the Secondary level. 


However, Environmental Education would be incorporated into other academic subjects, the NBSE stated in a notification issued by its Chairman Asano Sekhose.  


In connection, the Board further informed all the registered schools in the state to take note of the following: 
 I. New permission will not be granted to any institution for introduction of the two subjects from the current academic session.  


II. The two subjects will be dropped as course of study from academic session 2022 in phase manner i.e. Class IX – 2022 and Class X-2023. 


III. In lieu of the two subjects, the Board will identify new subjects which are vocational in nature. The new subjects will be notified in due course of time.
