DIMAPUR, JUNE 5 (MExN): The United Nations designated 05 June as World Environment Day to highlight that the protection and health of the environment is a major issue, which affects the well-being of peoples and economic development throughout the world. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.
In the back drop of Covid 19 Lockdown & cancellation of all NCC courses/activities, World environment day on 05 Jun 2020 are planned by the units of NCC Kohima Gp adhering to all Gov’t instructions in Covid Scenario with various activities on the occasion.
National environment awareness programme (NEAP) was also organised by 24 NL (I) Coy, Kohima in collaboration with 16 UP NCC Bn, Prayagraj . Online quiz test for 200 NCC cadets on environment related subjects was held on 05 June 2020.Online certificates will also be given to all Cadets scoring minimum of 60 percent followed by incentives to cadets holding position from 1st to 5th.
