Jakhama, April 3 (MExN): The Associate NCC Officer (Senior Wing) and 35 NCC SW Cadets of St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama under 1 NL Girls’ BN NCC-Kohima carried out Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan at Kezo Basa Village, adopted village of the college, April 2.
According to a press release on Sunday, the team spread awareness on waste management and plastic recycling and on cleaning water bodies to the Village Council officials of the village through talks and also through a rally.
The team also donated 42 dustbins to the village which were made by the cadets themselves with waste materials like tin, bamboo, wire, card board and plastic waste.
Medovi Zhongo, the Village Council Chairperson expressed his gratitude to the NCC team for the noble service rendered to the village, the release stated.
