The Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) is set to present a concert titled ‘A Christmas Tale’ this December, following the success of its winter production of Les Miserables. The concert will feature the NCM Choir and Nagaland String Orchestra, offering a repertoire of popular songs and carols, conducted by the renowned Lipokmar Tzudir.
Scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, at the NCM campus in Dimapur, the event is designed as a fundraiser to support the development of a state-of-the-art auditorium at the NCM campus, aimed at advancing music and the arts in the region. The concert is open to well-wishers.
Since its establishment in 2012 and affiliation with Nagaland University, NCM has produced exceptional musicians who are now contributing to the musical landscape both nationally and internationally. For this concert, NCM has partnered with the Nagaland String Orchestra, founded in 2018 by professional string players to bring orchestral music to the community and provide a platform for local musicians to perform.
NCM’s ‘A Christmas Tale’ concert is expected to be an extravagant and heartwarming event, offering a blend of festive spirit and exceptional musical talent. For more information, interested attendees may contact NCM coordinator Vini Assumi at +91 9366239275.
