Dimapur: The Nagaland unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has expressed its sincere appreciation to the DAN Government headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for taking timely decision in releasing the Post- Matric Scholarships.
According to a press release issued here, it stated the DAN Government had released the scholarships for more than 31, 000 students studying in and outside Nagaland and made a payment to a balance amount of more than 11 crores from the State exchequer.
It also stated that the decision had demonstrated the genuine concern of the present Government towards the welfare and well-being of the students.
Further, the NCP has appreciated the DAN Government for implementing a number of projects proposed and initiated by the previous Congress Government in the State.
“Like the common saying, the previous Congress Government proposes and the present DAN Government disposes and therefore the credit goes to both”, the release stated.
