
Kohima, July 10 (MExN): The Nagaland College Principals Association (NCPA) held its Half Yearly meeting on July 10 at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.
In his Presidential Address, Dr Vitsosie Vupru expressed gratitude to Kohima Science College (Autonomous) for hosting the meeting and acknowledged the active participation of all members.
He reaffirmed NCPA’s commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education in the State.
The session featured presentations of the Treasurer’s Report by Dr Lichumo Enie, Principal, Unity College, Dimapur, and the General Secretary’s Report by Dr Hewasa L Khing, Principal, Tetso College.
The meeting continued with the Business Hour, where participating principals deliberated on key issues related to higher education, including examinations, evaluation systems, student welfare, and other matters of concern, as per an NPCA release.
Meanwhile, the announcement of the new NCPA office bearers and executive members for the tenure August 2025 to July 2027 was made by the Nomination Committee Convenor, Prof Visakhonu Hibo.
The office bearers and executive members are President - Dr Vitsosie Vupru, Principal, Kohima Government College; Vice President: Dr Gopal Chetri, Principal, Sazolie College, Jotsoma; General Secretary, Dr Hewasa L. Khing, Principal, Tetso College, Chümoukedima; Joint Secretary Dr Phyobenthung, Principal, Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire; and Treasurer Dr. Zokho Venuh, Principal, Capital College, Kohima.
The Executive Members are Dr T Tiakaba Jamir, Principal, Dimapur Government College;Dr. Imtiwati Jamir, Principal, Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung; Dr Fr George Keduolhou Angami, Principal, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama; Dr Santosh Kumar, Principal, Pranab College, Dimapur; Dr Bweyhunle Khing, Principal, Mount Tiyi College, Wokha; Dr Lichumo Enie, Principal, Unity College, Dimapur and Dr Fr Francis Cheerangal, Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Jalukie. The NCPA is a collective of Principals from Government, Private, and Autonomous colleges across Nagaland. It functions as a coordinating body, working for the advancement of collegiate education and facilitating dialogue with stakeholders such as Nagaland University, the Government of Nagaland, and other relevant agencies and organisations, the release added.
