NCS band launched in Kohima

Kohima, July 17 (DIPR): For the first time, the Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) Band was launched on July 15 at a function in Kohima. The band members are Anthony Ngullie (Bass), Andrew Imti (Lead), Tsuthsowe Kupa (Drum), Henok Phom (Vocal) and Kevin K. Zehol (Vocal) in the Private Residence of Henok Phom at Kohima.

The band was launched appreciating the enormous musical gifts and talents of the NCS officers. While the Band will become a platform for refreshing the musical gifts / talents of the NCS officers, through this conglomeration, it is also expected that the NCSA bond will be further strengthened.

The NCSA has extended heartfelt thanks to Khrienuo Metha, NCS, Commissioner & Secretary for her concern and generosity towards NCSA and presently for fending the whole amount for the new drum-set.

Earlier, some NCS Officers had shared the stage and rocked the Hornbill Rock Concert, 2011. As they were all posted out of Kohima, the officers had to sacrifice their casual leaves for practice and for final performance in the Hornbill Rock Concert, 2011.

Music is an international language and knows no boundaries or age and it is hoped that through the NCS both junior and senior NCS officers would jam together and move on towards “Greater Heights”.
