Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) Head Office Kohima has appealed government departments who have issued work orders through table tenders to immediately cancel them and float fresh open tenders. “As per the laid down norms, all civil works should be done through an open tender. However, despite repeated appeals of the NCSU, most of the departments are violating the government’s standing order and randomly allotting work order without inviting open tender,” the NCSU stated in a press release on Monday. In this regard, the NCSU while requesting all the departments to do away with the practice, cautioned that it would be compelled to file a PIL against erring departments and seek justice through the court of law.
