NCW conducts workshop in Tetso College

Chümoukedima, July 11 (MExN): Tetso College organised a workshop on capacity building and personality training programme sponsored by the National Commission for Women (New Delhi) in Lorin Hall, Tetso College on July 11. The programme was for female undergraduate and postgraduate students to provide valuable training and development opportunities, Tetso College IT & Media stated in a press release. 

Delina Khongdup, Member National Commission for Women (NCW) graced the occasion as the special guest. In her address, she emphasized on the importance of enhancing one’s capabilities which will foster and nurture the future.

During the inaugural session, a briefing of the workshop was delivered by Anjan K Behera, Acting Dean, School of English and Political Studies. The resource persons for the workshop were Anjan K Behera, Acting Dean, Dr Rosy Tep, HoD English, Dr Jenny Lalmuanpuii, Department Coordinator Mass Communication, Thejasanuo Khezhie, Asst Prof, Department of English, Prasenjit Bhadra, Asst Prof Department of Commerce and Management and Viruno Yalie, HR Senior Executive.

Following the inaugural session, Delina Khongdup, Member, NCW along with Akokla Longchar, Member, Nagaland State Commission for Women, also inaugurated Tetso College Women's Common room. This room has been set up by the College to provide female students and staff a space for recreation, relaxation, and informal discussions during their free time, and is also equipped with a Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine and incinerator.
