Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): NDPP 3 Dimapur III AC office in Naharbari near Raj Phukuri was inaugurated by Chingwang Konyak, President, NDPP Nagaland on October 14.
Addressing the inaugural, Chingwang Konyak expressed his elation over the approval of 33% reservation for women in the party. He highlighted how this historic decision would provide more opportunities for women to participate actively in politics and governance, stated a press release received here.
Abu Metha, Secretary General, NDPP emphasised the historical significance of the event. He noted that 3 Dimapur III had created history after six decades and praised the Chief Minister’s allocation of the Industries and Commerce department to Hekani Jakhalu, the elected candidate from 3 Dimapur III, recognising it as the economic powerhouse of the state.
He urged the party members to be supportive, emphasising the importance of women in decision-making roles. He stressed that women leaders are instrumental in fostering integrity, peace, and unity in politics. He called for unity of the entire constituency, cutting across all affiliations, as this constituency reflects the rich diversity of Nagaland and India. He also stated that this constituency has tremendous potential to contribute to the growth of Nagaland, and we will all collectively strive towards making it a model constituency.
Hekani Jakhalu spoke about her commitment to the people and the party. She emphasised that her first priority after winning the election was to establish a party office, underlining the importance of a strong organizational presence.
