Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): A meeting of the 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) unit was held on February 14 at Mon Town with members from all 15 constituent villages.
During the meeting, the party applauded Noke Wangnao for securing the NDPP ticket for the upcoming general election while. Recounting his political career, Wangnao also appreciated the people for their support and appealed to the party workers to speak the truth and work for the welfare of the people.
According to a press release received here on Friday, the meeting was chaired by the AC office bearers and began with an invocation by Maopha, Deacon KBCM, while AC president Nokpen shared the welcome note. This was followed by sharing of reports from every village unit after which the party unanimously resolved to reelect Wangnao to the NLA.
