GHASPANI, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The Assembly Constituency officials of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C held its annual executive meet on October 29 at the residence of the local MLA, Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd), Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs.
The marathon meeting deliberated on various issues and suggestions tabled by party workers and leaders where a number of resolutions were adopted.
Besides the local MLA Zhaleo Rio who advised party workers to strive for peace, prosperity and development, others who spoke during the occasion included Charlie Sekhose, Senior Vice-President, NDPP Central; Kaka Zhimomi, Founding Member, NDPP; Miathou Krose, Core Committee member; Dosau Kuotsu, President, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C; Tokihe Zhimomi, General Secretary, NDPP Ghaspani-II A/C; Teneikolie Krose, Vice-president, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C; Zasivi Meyase, P/S to Zhaleo Rio; Megozomeü Khate, President, NDPP Women Organization; Matthew Niphi, President, NDPP Youth Organization and a host of regional as well as central party leaders.
The house reaffirmed its total support for Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd) for the next election under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chingwang Konyak, President, NDPP. Some other relevant agendas discussed by the house included the importance of party membership and enrollment, significance of grass root workers and the need to develop coherence and coordination.
Earlier, the house observed a minute’s silence in remembrance of party members who lost their lives during the Covid pandemic and the meeting began with a mass prayer. The function was chaired by Khekiho Zhimomi, Working President, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C.
