NDPP Phek region adopts five-point resolution

Phek, November 6 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Phek Region held its general meeting cum get-together on November 5 last at Kapamodzu Peak, Zhavame village of Phek district.

Nagaland Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu, NDPP Central Working President i/c Phek region Nuzota Swuro and NDPP Vice President, K Puro were present on the occasion. The meeting was chaired by NDPP Phek Region president Mosonyi Domeh.

As part of the meeting, the NDPP Phek region unanimously adopted a five-point resolution presented by resolution committee convenor Neikhrolo Khalo and member secretary Dr K Hoshi.

The NDPP Phek region reaffirmed absolute confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and Minister Neiba Kronu and assured them to give all-out cooperation to them even in the days ahead.

The NDPP Phek region welcomed the farsighted political action of the Chief Minister in forming the opposition-less government under the name United Democratic Alliance (UDA) government in the interest of Naga political issues. The NDPP Phek region is confident that the UDA government will leave no stone unturned to facilitate the political negotiation between the Government of India and the Naga negotiating groups for an acceptable and honorable solution at the earliest as desired by the Nagas.

Expressing that with the next state general election only fifteen months away, many members from other political parties have been joining the NDPP and strengthening the party, the NDPP Phek region resolved to adopt an open door policy to welcome all like-minded people willing to join the party so as to work together and ensure the return of NDPP-led government to power after the 2023 general election.

With the 2023 state general elections fast approaching, the NDPP Phek region resolved that the voice of the grassroots level party workers shall be heard first for allotment of NDPP ticket in the region/district.

Further, with the two-lane road construction in full swing in Phek district, the house resolved that on completion of the projects, the NDPP Phek region resolved to undertake extensive fruit tree plantation along the roads under the banner of tree for wealth.
