Tseminyu, March 10 (MExN): The NDPP Tseminyu Region has opposed the merger of JD (U) with NDPP.
In a press statement, NDPP Tseminyu Region, President, Daniel Tep said that though it welcomes JD (U) supporting the NDPP-BJP led government, the “merger with NDPP shall not be allowed since both play politics and elections with different ideology and policy programs in regional and national parties.”
It stated that inspite of the recent loss in the general election, “the office bearers of the party are intact and in full support of R Khing and that there is no more room to accommodate JD (U) parties in our NDPP party especially in Tseminyu Region.”
It also mentioned that the JD (U) State Committee has been dissolved by the central leadership on “ground of huge indiscipline and arbitrary decision by the state leaders. Therefore, inclusion of such functionaries into the party fold will have a big negative impact on the setup of the party.”
