NDPP Tuensang celebrates advent Christmas

The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Tuensang region celebrated advent Christmas and also held its general meeting at region office in Tuensang on December 20. 

H Wongto, President, NDPP Tuensang region in his Christmas message asserted “to hope for faith in Christ” and said, “In the name of Christ, during Christmas instead of celebrating His birth and worshipping Him, most people are looking forward to it to enjoy in many wrong ways.”

During the occasion, Wongto shared about the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and encouraged the gathering to disseminate the information with the consultation of District Administration and District Hospital to the people of Tuensang. He also mentioned about the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMI) and encouraged to avail it.

Stating that Neiphiu Rio, “the longest serving Chief Minister of Nagaland, walks the talk”, Wongto said, “Naga people must learn to thank the leaders for all the good works they have done instead of always criticizing … we must learn to appreciate where it’s due.” 

The programme was chaired by Imti Choba, President, Youth Organisation, NDPP Tuensang while Bible reading and invocation prayer was pronounced by I Naongsenti, Secretary, Women Organisation, NDPP Tuensang. Welcome address was delivered by Ngakupongsuk, Vice President, NDPP, Tuensang and Achemti Sangtam, General Secretary, NDPP Tuensang gave a general report on the yearly activities of the party in the region.

Short speeches were also delivered by President, Women Organisation, NDPP Tuensang and President, Agri and Allied, NDPP Tuensang.
