In a poignant tribute to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on his 73rd birthday, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Tuensang Region undertook a visit to the Kohdi Orphanage Home in Tuensang town on November 11. 

The programme commenced with NDPP Tuensang Region President H Wongto Chang providing insights into the life and achievements of Honorable Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. President Chang extended warm birthday wishes to Chief Minister Rio, lauding him for his fifth consecutive term and earning the distinction of one of the longest-serving Chief Ministers in the history of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Expressing his felicitations, Wongto Chang emphasised the Chief Minister's unwavering commitment to the welfare of Nagaland and its people. In a gesture of encouragement, he urged the orphaned children of Kohdi Home to dream big, stay humble, and remain respectful towards their guardians. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 68:5, he underscored the divine role in caring for the fatherless and highlighted the importance of kindness, mercy, and protection for every child.

The programme, chaired by Achemty Sangtam, General Secretary of NDPP Tuensang Region, began with an invocation prayer delivered by Naong Chang, President of the Women's Organization NDPP Tuensang Region. The Superintendent of Kohdi Children Welfare Committee extended a warm welcome to the NDPP delegation and shared heartfelt gratitude for their visit.

Adding a touch of artistic expression to the event, the children of Kohdi Home presented a special number that resonated with the spirit of the occasion. The programme concluded with a mass benediction prayer, leaving an indelible mark of positivity and hope on the hearts of all present.
