NDPP Youth Org basks in Rio's 'prominence' at NDA meeting

The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Youth Organisation today stated that the recently concluded meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has been a “prideful event for the entire Nagas and the state.”

The meeting commemorating 25 years of the alliance, was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on July 18, and attended by 39 parties of NDA. 

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was among the top leaders of the alliance who attended the meeting representing the NDPP.

Rio, who is also the longest serving Chief Minister of the state, was accorded with high esteem by occupying  a seat on the dais alongside the  Prime Minister Modi and other senior most NDA leaders, the media cell of NDPP Youth Organisation stated .

“This act of regard and recognition accorded to the Chief Minister of the State is an acknowledgement of his leadership and respect to all the citizens of the state. It also reflects how his political stalwartness and stature is acknowledged across the country,” it maintained.

To this end, the party youth wing asserted that as one of the senior most and experienced Chief Ministers of India, Rio “immense contribution towards decision making and formulating policies not only for the State but for the country has gained trust and confidence of the Central government.”

His view is considered and taken on every situation and securing such “status and position among the top leaders of the country is a matter of pride and honour for the whole Nagas,” it added 

While lauding Rio for achieving such prominence in the political realm, the NDPP Youth Organisation also wished him good health as he continue to take the Nagas to a "new era of peace, progress and development."
