NHM Employees Associations Nagaland (NEAM), Mokokchung unit staged a rally on December 11, at the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) in solidarity with All India Health and NHM Employees Federation (AIHNEF).
The AIHNEF organised a mass rally in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi and has put forward a set of demands which includes: declare all health departments and NHM employees as government employees, ensure job security up to 65 years, ensure direct payment of salary to all outsource employees through the government, ensure social security benefits like Ex.pf, ESI Gratuity, pension etc., establish welfare Commission Board for the rights of the employees and other demands as per charter of Employees' demands of Mahasangh.
The publicity secretary of NEAM, Mokokchung Unit, Sentirenla Longchar, stated that they envisage some positive outcomes and further informed to all the NHM Employees to act upon and participate as and when any information is circulated.
