Nagaland Cricket Association president, Kechangulie Rio receiving the U-23 Men’s Col CK Nayudu Trophy award during the 3rd NECDC Achiever’s Nite organized by the Meghalaya Cricket Association on June 1.

DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): A number of cricket players from Nagaland were felicitated and received awards under various categories during the 3rd North East Cricket Development Committee (NECDC) Achiever’s Nite organized by the Meghalaya Cricket Association on June 1.
In the individual categories, Aloto Sumi was awarded the U-16 Boys Best Batter, Shyerinlo Thong U-16 Boys Best Wicketkeeper, Yugandhar Singh U-19 Men Best Batter, Anil Gupta U-19 Men Best Bowler, Hem Bahadur Chetri U-23 Men Best Batter and Afzal Hussain Choudhary U-23 Men Best Wicketkeeper.

Moreover, Aloto Sumi received special recognition for being awarded the North East Zone Emerging Player Award (Male), Sentilemla Imsong was honored for scoring the first half-century for the NE Zone in the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal One Day Trophy and Neizekho Rupreo was recognized for being the highest wicket-taker in the U-23 Men’s Col CK Nayudu Trophy.
In the state awards, Nagaland claimed the title of champions in both the U-23 Men’s Col CK Nayudu Trophy (plate group) and the U-19 Men’s Cooch Behar Trophy (plate group), showcasing the state’s burgeoning prowess in cricket. Nagaland Cricket Association president, Kechangulie Rio, Hyunilo Anilo Khing, secretary and Watinuksung Jamir, joint secretary were in attendance at the event.
