NECTAR’s PIG initiative wins CIPS Innovation Award 2024

KOHIMA, MAY 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Education Project—The Lighthouse (NECTAR) has announced that its Performance Incentive Grants (PIG) initiative has been conferred the “CIPS Innovation Award 2024” under the education sector category. The award was presented by the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS), Hyderabad—an autonomous body under the Administrative Staff College of India, established by the Government of India. CIPS functions as a national platform aimed at fostering and promoting innovations that bring about systemic improvements in public governance across states. NECTAR, in a statement issued on Friday, expressed appreciation to the School Management Committees (SMCs) and School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs) whose active participation made the award possible. Under the PIG initiative, capacity-building support has been extended to a total of 1,914 SMCs and SMDCs across Nagaland.
