The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG- 2021) for admission into undergraduate medical courses examination was conducted today across the country including Nagaland, at various centres in Dimapur and Kohima. 

Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET is a uniform entrance examination for admission to  BBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India.

In Kohima, the examination was held in four centres - Model Higher Secondary School, G. Rio School, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) and Modern College.

For safe conduct of the exam, the NTA has introduced mandatory frisking of students before entering the exam hall to ensure that no student adopts any unfair means for this highly competitive exam.

Earlier on September 9, the NTA informed that the test would be held in at different centres located in 202 cities throughout the country and abroad from 2-5 pm in ‘Pen and Paper mode.’
