Nagaland’s Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu today launched ‘District SDG Localisation & Integration Manual’, which is part of Nagaland Sustainable Development Goal Vision 2030’.

The manual will be used as a key tool for carrying out the localization process across all the district and grassroot level in a structured and planned manner, Kronu said.

“Since this manual provides fundamental knowledge and know- how for localizing SDGs, I believe it will prove as a useful guide during the process of planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation stages of SDGs at the local level,” he said.

After the launch of this manual, as soon as it is safe to travel, the SDG localization process will also commence, Kronu informed.

The government of Nagaland through the Sustainable Development Goals Co-ordination Centre (SDGCC), with technical assistance from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been engaged in the process of localization and integration of the SDGs in the state.

He was hopeful that the launch of the district manual will go a long way in localizing the SDGs that is, making them most relevant to the needs on-ground.
