Neiphiu Rio joins indigenous game at Sekrenyi fest at Tuophema

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio too joined the indigenous game during Angami Sekrenyi festival 2022 on Saturday at Tuophema village in Kohima district.

The event also witnessed the participation of Ungma village in the indigenous game. In top spinning competition held during the festival, Chazouma Khel bagged the first position while Ziekie Khel stood second position.

Muzzle loading gun shooting:1st- Ziekie Khel, 2nd– Phehezou Khel.

Indigenous Catapult Shooting: 1st - Phehezou Khel, 2nd - Chazouma Khel

Thuoli Game: 1st- Ziekie Khel, 2nd-Basa Peso Khel.

Earlier, Ungma village performed folk dance.

The festival witnessed cultural presentations from Tuophema Bawe, Tuophema Basa, Botsa village and Tuophema cultural troupe.

Mentionably, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Sharingain Longkumer graced the occasion as the special guest.
