NEISSR Chomoükedima organised an introductory programme for the Nagaland University, Lumami Peer Team inspection on April 5.

Chomoükedima, April 5 (MExN): North East Institute of Social Science and Research (NEISSR), Chomoükedima organised an introductory programme for the Nagaland (Central) University, Lumami Peer Team inspection on April 5.
The peer team consisted of Prof Temjensosang, Director of Research & Development CellNagaland University, Prof Athungo Ovung, Head of Department of Sociology Nagaland University, and Prof Dasarathi Bhuiyan, Department of Political Science Nagaland University.
Dr Fr CP Anto, Principal & Founder NEISSR and Director Peace Channel in his welcome address expressed gratitude to Nagaland University, and Government of Nagaland particularly the Department of Higher Education for enabling NEISSR to pursue its dream in impacting the youth and community of Nagaland and Northeast India.
He stated that NEISSR strongly believe in the dual objective of higher education i.e the academic excellence and societal impact. Pointing out that the academic pursuit of NEISSR encompasses rigorous research, creative teaching methodologies, and cross disciplinary collaboration with a number of interdisciplinary colleges, institution, NGOs and organization at the state, regional, national and international level.
Rev Fr Chacko Karinthayil, Governing Board member NEISSR, delivered a message where he expressed his gratitude to Nagaland University for their initiative and making the dream of the Catholic Church in transforming young individuals into an agent of change a reality. He then encouraged studentsto continue helping, teaching, empowering,inspiringand building up role models where people will learn, grow and excel in life.
Prof Temjensosang, Director of Research & Development Cell, Nagaland University encouraged students to continue helping people as it is the happiest thing that anybody can do.
He also emphasized NEISSR fraternity to make NEISSR a place not just to become a mere social worker, but also a space where students can reborn themselves in transforming the society particularly in the state of Nagaland.
Dr Toli H Kiba, Asst Prof NEISSR presented on glimpse of NEISSR focusing on the quality aspects, institutional distinctiveness and its best practices. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rev Fr L Khing, Vice Principal & Administrator NEISSR.
Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by Sr Resmy SJSM, Academic Programme Coordinator NEISSR.
The moderators for the programme were Limeka P Wotsa, MSW 4th Semester NEISSR and Avise Sangtam MSW 2nd Semester NEISSR.
