Chümoukedima, December 15 (MExN): The North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Chümoukedima honoured Neiketuno Sechü, a student of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), for her remarkable achievement in being crowned Miss Nagaland 2023.

The felicitation ceremony took place at the NEISSR Hall, said a press note received here in her speech, Neiketuno Sechü shared her struggles with mental health issues, recounting a time when she grappled with difficulties in social interactions and felt like an invisible presence during her school years. Overcoming these challenges, she expressed gratitude for her transformative journey and considered it a blessing that her experiences are now inspiring others.

To those facing depression or mental health challenges, Miss Nagaland 2023 emphasised the universality of such struggles, reassuring individuals that they are not alone. She stressed the importance of overcoming mental health issues and finding purpose in life. She urged everyone to discover their life’s purpose, strive to be the best version of themselves and embrace boldness, wisdom, confidence, and the pursuit of dreams.

Earlier, NEISSR Principal Dr Fr CP Anto extended congratulations to Miss Nagaland for making history at NEISSR. Dr Anto commended Sechü for embodying a combination of beauty, intellect, and God fearing. He expressed confidence in her potential to become a powerful voice for the youth in Nagaland and wished her success on both the national and international levels.
