
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): The students of North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) had an input session on the COVID 19 vaccination drive on October 1.
Dr Anok Imchen and Teisino, Professional Nurse of Referral Hospital were the resource persons of the program. It began with the introductory message from Rev Dr CP Anto, Principal NEISSR, Founder and Director Peace Channel, Dimapur.
In his message, Dr Anto stressed on the importance of sensitization of COVID 19 and the importance of vaccination. In order to accomplish this, he highlighted that NEISSR has agreed to work together with Referral Hospital to bring more awareness and sensitize people to take care of their health in general. The first session was taken by Teisino, who congratulated NEISSR for achieving full vaccination and expressed her sincere gratitude to the students of NEISSR for the willingness to work towards controlling the COVID 19 pandemic.
She provided information about the first ever Rapid Response Team of Referral Hospital, which was started by few medical teams since the beginning of pandemic and also the COVID Care Centre in Chumukedima. She spoke on different symptoms, types of COVID test, complication of the COVID 19 infection and vulnerable people.
Dr Anok Imchen took over the second session where he encouraged the students to clear doubts. He spoke on vaccine efficacy, differences between the vaccines, dose schedules etc. He encouraged the students to be thorough and have a clear concept about the vaccination drive so that it will produce a positive result when they step out in the community to sensitize people. The session came to an end with a vote of thanks from KR Assurance, the CR of 3rd Semester, NEISSR.
