Neizo Belho emerges champion of 5th Sekrenyi Open Air Rifle Shooting Competition

Neizo Belho today emerged winner of Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) and Break Barrel events of 5th Sekrenyi Open Air Rifle Shooting Competition organised by Kohima Air Rifle Club  at D. Khel Ground, Kohima village.

In the PCP event, Seyievilie Mechülho and Diethosetuo Yiese clinched the second and third positions.

For the Break Barrel event, Diethosetuo Yiese and Thejasezo Belho stood second and third respectively. 

Top three winners in the Break Barrel and Pre-Charged Pneumatic categories were awarded with a certificate and cash prizes of Rs 12000, Rs 8000 and  Rs 6000 respectively.

In PCP with Scope, Kekietuo Solo stood first position while Visabei Kire and Kevitsü Chielie  stood second and third position respectively. The winners were awarded with gift hampers and a certificate.

Earlier, gracing the inaugural function, Managing Director, KOHIMAS Dr Tseilhoutuo  encouraged the participants to strive hard to excel in the field of games and sports. 

He also suggested the organising committee to include traditional sports items along with the air rifle shooting competition in order to preserve the rich cultural practice of forefather traditional games.

Speaking as the guest of honour, Branch manager, IDBI, Kohima Levis Ping  assured of all support in such future events.

Head GB Kohima village  Medi Keretsü and Head DB Kohima Keneilezo Sechü were the special guests of the occasion. 

The event  registered 51 participants in all the categories which included; Break Barrel, Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) and PCP with Scope.

Meanwhile, Kohima Air Rifle Club Chairperson Visasielie Suohu thanked the prize sponsors, special guests and well wishers for the success of the event. He led the inaugural function. 

The programme began with the invocation prayer by Ketholezo Liezietsu, Deacon, Khedi Baptist Church while Dziesekhrienuo Keretsü enthralled the gathering with a special song.
