Nepali Gospel Singing Competition ‘Voice Hunt-VIII’ concludes

CHÜMOUKEDIMA, November 17 (MExN): The eighth season of the one-day Nepali Gospel Singing Competition, 'Voice Hunt', concluded on November 16. It was organised by the Youth Department of the Gorkha Baptist Church, Chümoukedima Town.

Initiated in 2017 under the theme “Praise His Name,” the event aims to inspire, enrich, and motivate Christian Gorkha youths across Nagaland both spiritually and musically.
Six finalists showcased their performances in the competition's grand finale.

Sara Dorjee of Gorkha Christian Church Moulding, Assam, emerged as the winner. Manosh Lamichane of Nepali Baptist Church Medziphema Town was declared the runner-up, while Kamal Sharma of Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church, Duncan, claimed the second runner-up title.

The first prize cash award was sponsored by the General Department of GBC Chümoukedima Town.

The programme was attended by Shanti Pradhan, Finance Secretary of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN), as the chief guest. Jiwan Rai, Pastor of Gorkha Christian Church Darogapathar, was the guest of honour.
