I have learnt one very small yet important lesson in life albeit a little late it did come. ‘Never postpone your happiness’- until that dream job or that dream car, dream house or that dream spouse. It is now or perhaps never- given the high uncertainty of life. In fact, I see no rationality in comparing the happiness of now to the happiness of then which might never occur.
To be optimist is to be realistic, so be happy in the present moment of life regardless of how slow the progress could be, despite the luxurious effort rather than waste the moment in thinking too much of the moment of the future which may never happen.
The future is just another illusion because the happiness you have in mind is nothing but an accumulation of all the tiny moments of smiles and laughter you make along the way. There is absolutely nothing in life where you sacrifice everything now to get ultimate happiness later on. Like everything else on earth, it has to be built brick by brick and you cannot ignore the foundation by being too focused on the final construction.
BE HAPPY- NOW
With what you have;
With who you are and
With whom you get to share the moment.
BECAUSE…
The richest people are not the happiest humans;
The most beautiful or successful people are not the happiest of people;
And happiness is most meaningful when you have caring people to share with.
REMINDER…
If something is meant to happen, it will happen regardless of the circumstances,
So just go at your comfortable pace without being distracted by someone else fast progress. We all have our own version of happiness, so be happy with yours because if you don’t, you will end up imitating someone else version and we all know, a cover song is a cover song even if it’s better than the original version.
HENCEFORTH…
If you can help someone, do it now;
If you want to read that book in the shelf; do it now;
If you are waiting for a moment to express your feelings, do it now;
If you are searching for happiness, it is now
Be happy with the people you have in your life now; for when you do reach that pinnacle of success in life, they may not be around.
FINALLY...
If we stay happy and contend with whatever we have, then greed will starve out of hunger; and I believe we don’t have to create another faculty in our mind to deal with our spirituality- for when we are happy with what we have, we are happy and do not have the thoughts of causing hurt to anyone rather than to express our happy thoughts to our fellow beings and that itself will insure our ticket to heaven. So be ambitious but don’t hurry, enjoy the slow process of life. We are not here to outperform each another only but to help each other perform better for the glory of the one who created us all.
