Kohima, May 13 (MExN): he Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) observed the handing over and taking over ceremony of office between the outgoing and incoming officials on May 13 at the Nagaland Olympic Association Office, Officers Hill, Kohima.
The new team, headed by President Vezohu Ruho, will serve the office for the 2024-2028 tenure.
A press release from the Association informed that on the occasion, outgoing President Vekhozo Ringa, on behalf of the outgoing officials, expressed gratitude to the community for their unflinching support and cooperation during its four-year tenure, enabling the team to culminate its tenure successfully. The incoming President Ruho also extended gratitude to the Chakhesang people for reposing faith in him and his team of office bearers by nominating them to serve the office.
Urging the entire community to render further cooperation, he appealed to the people to carry forward the Association’s plans and policies under joint venture for the interest and welfare of the wrestlers.
Apart from Ruho, other functionaries for the 2024-2028 tenure include General Secretary-Kukhoto Venyo; Vice President, Zazhota Dawhuo; Treasurer- Er Shekhotso Keyho; Women Coordinator- Honi Medeo; and CWA Rep to NWA Kuhusheyi D Vadeo and Mudongoyi Swuro.
Chisazo Dawhuo, Hukhoneyi Soho, and Lhuvenu Phesao are the Advisors of the CWA.
