
Dimapur, January 28 (MExN): The New Chümoukedima 'B' Khel subcommittee at a meeting on January 26 at the residence of TL Angami the founder of 'B' Khel reiterated that landowners who failed to renew their land holding certificate and failed to develop their allotted or purchased land stand cancelled and no claims shall be entertain with the old land holding certificate. Further, the 'B' Khel authority or committee shall not responsible for any land dispute arising with the old certificate. The meeting also resolved to restrict hunting or collecting of any forest product with immediate effect and violators will strictly be dealt with as per the law. On the issue of firearms, the committee informed that tenants or labourers will not be allowed to keep any items. In this regard, all landowners have been requested to collect any firearms possessed by their labourers or tenants failing which seizure of firearms will be initiated. The last date for submitting the same to the concerned landlord is February 15. The residents have been informed to keep close watch of their domestic animals while goat rearing is prohibited. Any person rearing goat is advised to make alternative arrangements before February 15 failing which actions will be initiated.
The committee also informed that all land selling-purchase should be done in consultation with the B Khel authority failing which; any such transaction shall stand as cancelled. The meteing also reelected Neivo-o Sorünuo as the Asst GB with immediate effect. A press release from T L Angami and Theja Angami informed that a general body meeting will be held on February 9, 11: 00 am at GPS New School building compound. All tenants, farmers and landowners have been requested to attend the said meeting positively.
