Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): The newly located multi-specialty Dimapur Hospital & Research Center, Puruna Bazaar Dimapur was officially inaugurated this afternoon in presence of host of dignitaries including Tovihoto Ayemi, Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation and Flood Control, Y. Hewoto Awomi, former minister and medical practitioners from in and around Dimapur.
A press release received here stated that invoking God's blessings Rev. Dr. Vitoi Kappo, senior pastor, Sumi Baptist Church, Puruna Bazaar, East Dimapur quoted a Romans 8:28 from the Holy Bible and stated that Church and hospital are two most important institutions of human life. Church is where spiritual salvation is emphasized upon and hospital is a place where physical well being is looked upon.
Rev. Vitoi said opening of new medical facility in Purana Bazaar area would be beneficial to people, especially of East Dimapur.
The managing director of the hospital Dr. Nikishe Sema, who chaired the function, highlighted the facilities available in the hospital which was established in 2003 and previously located at Landmark Colony. He mentioned that 20-bedded hospital with suite, private cabin and wards is equipped with 4 bedded ICU, dialysis, endoscopy, laparoscopic/minimal access surgeries, digital x-ray system, ECG etc with modern laboratory and emergency services.
Various specialties available at the hospital are gynaecology and obstetrics, medicine, surgery, anaesthesiology, dental and physiotherapy.
