New Market FC receives prize after their win at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima on October 24.

New Market FC today downed strong opponent Ura Uvie FC 2-0 to lift the coveted champion title of 22nd NSF Martyrs' Memorial Trophy 2022 organised by Angami Students' Union (ASU) at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.
Playing in inclement weather, Neisede Peseyie and Yhunshalo Kemp netted a goal each for New Market FC. New Market FC was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh along with trophy.
Runner up Ura Uvie FC received a cash prize of Rs 1.20 lakh. Losing semi finalists FIFA FC and Shillong Lajong FC received Rs 30,000 each.
Losing quarter finalists were Red Scars FC, Unity FC Meriema, Headhunters FC and Vafiimei Gaziphema FC.
Rhitsho Mero of New Market FC won player of the tournament and received two-wheeler. He also won highest scorer award (23 goals) and received a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Neithovilie Chalieu of Ura Uvie FC won best goal keeper and awarded with Rs 10,000.
Atlanson Kharman and Sangti Janai Shangong, both from Shillong Lajong FC won best defender and best midfielder title respectively and awarded with Rs 10,000 each.
32 teams from Nagaland, 2 teams from Manipur and 1 team from Meghalaya joined the tournament, held under the theme" Goal for Peace" which started on October 7.
